Headed dowels are used to hold and determine the position of tools and fixtures. The advantage is that it enables punctiform placement of a workpiece. The punctiform support is easy to clean and excludes the possibility of contamination caused by chippings or typical dirt between workpiece and support.

Ceramic headed dowels made from zirconium oxide (Cerazur) are wear-resistant, electrically non-conductive as well as chemically resistant. They are electrically insulating and do not incur metal abrasion, which is particularly important in industries specialising in the production of delicate assemblies such as circuit boards.

The product is used for holding or supporting all types of products that suffer from wear problems due to high unit volumes or that require an electrical insulating property.
