High-performance materials for industrial applications.
The properties of an end product may vary even if the base material used is identical. The core competence of the MOESCHTER Group is therefore to ensure reliable management of all phases of the manufacturing process for components and parts made from high-performance ceramics and engineering plastics.
High-performance ceramic, also called engineering ceramic, is a material that – in contrast to decorative ceramic – has been optimised for technical applications. It is characterised by special properties, mainly with regard to heat resistance, mechanical stability and dimensional stability. Therefore, high-performance ceramic is increasingly suitable for highly stressed components in machines, plants and devices.
As a base material, we use zirconium oxide, silicon nitride and aluminium oxide.
On the whole, engineering plastics are gaining increasing importance in industrial uses. Besides their good mechanical properties and relatively low density, their chemical resistance may also be a reason for using them. As a result, they are also used in aviation and aeronautics (e.g. turbines), in the automotive industry (e.g. in hot positions in the engine compartment) or in the chemicals industry where they come into contact with aggressive media.
